Bringing back the "RAPED" list!

I know, 2 posts in 1 day! You are wondering where juggy went and who I am!?

But here it is, the latest addition to the RAPED list. Woushi!

Bringing everyone up to speed

It has been far too long since my last post. Yes I did the WoW thing for a while. You can read a little about it in the previous posts. It wasnt interesting enough to make too many posts I guess. So here we are back in EQ2. I have been here for a few months now and am very happy to be back. So I have some catching up to do.

Basically it went like this:
I got bored with WoW very suddenly one day. It was right after a major game update, I logged back in, was trying to update my UI to make everything work again, and my guild was asking me to go tank something for them. I told them "hold on, gotta restart the game quick so my UI changes take effect" Little did I or they know those would be my last words in WoW. Dont know what hit me, or why, but I just didnt log back in. Ever. A RL friend of mine has my toon now and is taking very good care of him and WTFPWNING instances that I am WAY overgeared for while he levels his other toons.

For a while I did nothing. I tried Tabula Rasa, which wsa good, but was not good enough. One day out of nowhere I got a postcard from SOE saying that ROK was coming, and in anticipation they would give me afree month, and a bonus upgrade to EoF! I figured why not?

I immediately remembered why I loved EQ2 so much.

After TORRENTS of tells, I was torn on what to do. I had offers to join nearly every raid guild, including Strike, and some even wanted me to be an officer! I raided with most of them, with the exception of Strike, and came away with mixed feelings. I was not happy with the progression, dedication, leadership, or raid schedules of any of the guilds I raided with. None struck me as having the talent, dedication, or leadership required to be more than just a casual guild. Quite frankly, the raiding scene sucked. I almost resigned myself to being a casual player (I really did not have the energy to be a guild leader again, or to try and build a guild from nothing) when Dreamshadow and Naggash talked to me and had the same conclusions on the raiding scene. After MUCH talking, we finally decided that there was enough of a demand to build a guild that would raid on a hardcore schedule. This new guild would recruit from the old hardcore members of the server. We would only recruit those who shared the same goal and dedication to make a top guild. We warned everyone upfront that the recruitment would be along process. We would not just take anyone, and we would not resort to the typical spam to drum up membership. This guild was for the elite of the server, the old players who remember how things used to be.

And True Blood was born.

It has been a very slow start. We have worked with, grouped with, raided with every member before they were invited. We built the guild completely on member input. True Blood is the guild that every member wanted it to be. We have slowly gathered our friends together, and built a raid force from nothing. In the past 3 weeks we have begun our hardcore raid schedule. We have destroyed everything we have gone up against and have attracted a good following. Momentum is building and soon we will be unstoppable!

JUGGY'S BACK!

Okay, haven't posted to this blog since forever and a day ago. Well here is the bad news: Juggy moved to WoW. The good news is: You can find him on the Eonar server in the guild Reign.

K now that thats over with, the reason I'm posting again: JUGGY GOT A NEW TATTOO!

<== See there it is!

Its not done yet. I gotta go back for another 4 hours of coloring and shading. The green lines are actualy outlines for the wiring which will be gold and the black circles at the end will be filled in with silver to look like sodder. If you look at it, you can sorta see where the edges of the board will be. Its kinda funny shaped so the flesh can show through against the green of the circuit board.

More updates later.

Anyway I'll be using this blog for my WoW adventures from now on, so go ahead and just ignore all that EQ stuff... The parses, are no more. I haven't taken the links down but the server hosting them is gone. I'll clean it all up later then.

ABYSS!!

After many rumors, much discussion, Strike, and many other things...

ABYSS IS HERE!

Well This is old news already. We been around for about two weeks now and have been doing wonderfull things so far. The details are all falling into place. The members have dropped all previous disputes as if they never existed. Watching guild chat you would never know that Abyss hasn't been around and functioning togather forever.

So a couple things are still in the works. We still need a front page designed and implemented for our new web page: IntoAbyss.us Right now its just a cheasy template I threw up. However the DKP and the Fourms are up and running! I am hoping to create a gallery page for screenshots as well as a place to host vid clips and other member goodies.

What should you all expect from Abyss? Nothing less than the best guild on the server! I have great hopes that as we grow and work better togather we will be able to compete for world wide firsts with the expansion!

DKP n'stuff

Defiance has a new page.

With ogamings discontinuing their guildwizard portal, I am forced to look elsewhere. And thus was born defiance-bitches.us. On this site I have setup basic phpbb forums, and a eqdkp database. Not much now, but soon I will grow this into a beautifull site.

DEFIANCES NEWEST MEMBER!

This is a copy of the latest email to my friend Joseph at SOE. I hope he can at least get a laugh, if not restore my name.

Joseph,

Back in April my last name was changed from Baby'Eaterz to Smith. After much discussion the final ruling was made that anything degrading to babies or children was forbidden. Fine, whatever. I would like to take a quick second though, and renew my complaint that this was and is a role playing name fitting for a troll, and that taken in good fun and the spirit of role playing in a fantasy game there is nothing degrading or offensive about this. Everyone I have spoken with in the LDL community thinks that it was a mistake and that the name "Baby'Eaterz" is a good name and well within the limits of the posted naming policy.

My new daughter agrees.

Born August 23rd, 3:42pm 8lb 4oz, 20inches:

Isabella sporting her new guild tag and support for the famous name.

I did not know at the time that my wife was planning to surprise me with this shirt she made for our baby. I hope you can at least laugh about this, even if your hands are tied in changing my name back.

Proud father.
