Defilers dont whine enough!

I am once again bored at work and reading the forums. I have noticed a disapoingint (?!) trend. Everyone is so damn whiny about their spells.. EXCEPT DEFILERS!? Okay, lets look at some facts.

Anyone ever check out the spells and combat arts forums? They are FULL of conjurers and necro's whining about dumbfire pets. Enchanters won't shut up that they are being nerfed to hell. Someone is always complaining about this spell or that ability, EXCEPT Defilers. Why? I don't know. Maybe its because we were so broken for so long we think the combat changes were a godsend. And they were! BUT there are still some broken things.

VoA is shit. Mani, I could use some of your bitching expertiese here, I can't quite say how pathetic this spell is, and then putting it on a 2min timer! WHAT THE FUCK?
Avenger line is great: it prevents the target from death and applies a small ward. But it is OBVIOUSLY broken. The avenger pet that it spawns which is suposed to attack the enemy who delt the killing blow, does nothing but laugh as you die, again.

Today it was announced free server transfers.

What does juggy think about this? I may move some of my old Inny alts to LDL. Fun.
HOWEVER: the troubleing aspect. Amends is already scoping out LDL. This can mean bad things for Defiance and the rest of the comunity for that matter. Amends is a very powerfull guild, and two such guilds on a server only mean competition. This can be the kind of healthy competition we need. No one else is realy challenging us to work harder.

What I am afraid of is that we may become too competative. I am not looking forward to the stress and drama that comes of equaly matched rivals. It is fun to race another guild to a server first but as long as we can be civil to each other.

On the other hand would be funny to watch LDL comunity focus on a new even harsher guild than us! FLAME ON!

Another thing to think on: How many raid guilds will see LDL as a "target" I have only previously thought of the possiblity of one guild transfering over. What if 2 or 3? Can this server support that many? True LDL is one of the "high load" servers, but the majority of the population is not 60 yet, and of those many are not interested in raiding aside from the occasional Beegy Raid (tm)
Defiance already has trouble finding interested players to fill openings, what will happen if even one other guild transfers? They would suffer equaly in the recruitment departmet! Before Defiance transfered (and after) many guilds consolidated to keep up, and a few disbanded all togather to join what they hoped would be stronger guilds (both defiance and existing guilds) Who, if any, would break up to feed the new and existing guilds? Something to think on.

Crafting Alliance still raging...

Despite all temptation I am not going to post in their new complaints thread. Let this be an internal witch hunt. They have all the logs already.


DIFFERENT NOTE: DEFIANCE ROCKS THE TREE INNY STYLE!

We started off eye farming, rocked the gnoll captain for a needed eye, rocked the ring event for another needed eye giving us a complete set for next week... then nammick yells: TREE IS UP! Every group immediatly evacs, we sprint to the front door run to tree setup and drop it in under 3min from when it poped! No one saw nothing... Unless they reading this post they still camping tree hoping it will pop!

I will not post on your crafting alliance thread out of respect. I know that drama follows my name and it would be a shame to get your thread locked.


I am sorry for what hapened this morning in the alliance chat channel. I joined the channel this morning to try and get some invis totems made in bulk. I have never had any kind of luck asking in freeport_traders channel for anything so I remembered your thread on the boards and thought I would give it a shot.

Immediatly upon speaking in the channel I recieved 2 /tells saying it was not my place to be there and I was just looking to take advantage of newbies. In the subsequent argument in /tells they both flamed me and I put them both on ignore. After they were /ignored they started taking the argument to the channel. I am sorry for the drama that I may have caused. I will be more carefull next time, and should I decide to look for crafted items again I will do so on an alt to avoid causing you trouble.

However:
I did find someone and we negotiated a very fair price, on top of which I paid an extra 15 gold tip for treating me with respect.

I have posted my own response to what happened this morning, and I apologize for the behavior of whoever these people were.

I WILL disband this Alliance and withdraw my support before I allow such behavior. I will not have my name associated with such hypocrisy.

An interesting morning. This only goes to show that no matter what I am doing, there will always be those who can't help but flame. It is sad that I would need to log onto an alt to have peacable interactions with others in this comunity.

Siyamak returns!

Aparently Siyamak returned after a long holiday with all new loot tables. Is this another Server first for Defiance? We will certainly be trying to add this to the list!

It will be interesting to see what other guilds attempt this and how well they do. With server first being such a hot button issue I will be expecting AD and DP to make a few attempts.

Well that didn't last long, Siyamak dead and Defiance has another server first! FUCK YEAH DEFIANCE!

I saw anoxia start this idea and think its a pretty good idea. So credit where its due...

What do I hope to gain from this? Well nothing realy, but I do hope that maybe the comunity can gain some understanding of what makes juggy do what juggy does. EAT BABIES! And more than that, I hope that this can be a place to post my limited troll thoughts without inciting flame wars on the official boards. Flamers, come get me here!
