PARSES:

A note on parses since this has come up a few times now:

The parses are actualy hosted off of my own makeshift server. The outputs from ACT generaly are between 4-10mb and I don't want to pay for a service that can host them, number 1, and number 2, I don't want to transfer 10mb worth of literaly 100+ HTML files for EACH parse, so its easier to just drop em in the FTP folder and link to the first page from the blog.

That said,
The makeshift server is just that... makeshift. It is hosted on my 3rd backup PC (read Piece of Crap) and the FTP software does not come up right on reboot. I need to manualy stop it and start it again before it works. 90% of the time the server sits in its own corner and does jack shit while it waits for someone to connect and look at the parses. Lately though I've been tinkering with it trying to actualy make it into a usable box, so I often forget to restart the FTP server when I do that stuff.
2nd: If you are behind a firewall or at work many places will block FTP traffic. I am working on this (probably will be fixed with some port forwarding issues on my end)

FINALY:
I just baught an e250 off of ebay! It has 2 300mhz procs, 1gig of ram, and 2 9gig hard drives (expandable to 6 hot swapable 146gig drives!) I am very excited for it to arive and when it does the entire FTP server will move to that server which will be up 100% of the time. I may also do some other cool stuff with web hosting to remove the FTP component all togather. As I upgrade the drives I may even start doing some hosting for other guilds and individuals who would like to share fraps vids screens etc...

UNTILL THEN: the parses are accessable under limited circumstances when I feal like it. So be patient and I will get my new server up and running ASAP!

Also: If any guilds are interested in some free hosting after I get this new server setup I'm williing to set aside some space for you to play around with.
